Phuture Phantoms teams participate in the Inter-County Basketball Association (ICBA). More information can be found on the ICBA website http://www.icbabasketball.com

The ICBA offers 3d through 8th grade level teams for both boys and girls.

Tryouts for Basketball will be held in early to mid-October. Information on date and time will be shared to our Phuture Phantoms Facebook page and can be found on the Basketball page of this website when information is available. Players are evaluated during 2-3 sessions, depending on turnout, where they participate in drills and simulated games (3v3 and 5v5) under the supervision of team coaches.

Registration Fees will be determined in August prior to each season and will include the costs of participation and three tournament entries. Costs can range from $400 to $500 per player. Uniform fees are additional and typically run between $80 - $85.

The game schedule is managed entirely by the ICBA, and days on which games are played can vary. The majority of home games are played on Saturdays and Sundays, with one or two occurring during the week. For away games, we are subject to the opponent’s gym availability, but the ICBA endeavors to play most of the games on weekends. The regular season runs from mid-December to late February, with playoffs immediately following.

We strive for each team to have 2 practices per week. Times and locations can vary throughout the season, sometimes from week to week, based on gym availability and coaches availability.

The ICBA typically publishes the final schedule in early to mid-December.

We utilize 5 local gyms for practices and home games:

● Phoenixville Area Rec Center (most games are played here)

● Manavon Elementary School

● Schuylkill Elementary School

● St Mary’s of the Assumption

▪ Phoenixville Area Midde School

We typically compete in 3 in-season tournaments; Twin Valley Rock the Bells (earlier December), Fuga Memorial Christmas (Dec 26-29), and the Spring Ford Presidents Day weekend tourney (Feb). Tournament fees are included in registration. Participation is optional and up to each teams’ respective coaches and parents. Teams who do not wish to participate in a tournament will be refunded accordingly.

Please make sure your athlete has appropriate sneakers for the first practice. You will receive information on where to buy your jersey.

All coaches must provide background checks to the organization before interacting with any athletes.

Our league has a strict Code of Conduct policy for coaches, players and parents/spectators that can be found on our website under Parent’s Corner. It is also included in the registration form which is acknowledged and accepted by all registrants upon registration submission. The expectation of all participants and spectators is a demonstration of good sportsmanship and respect for teammates, opposing players, coaches and referees. If the Board is made aware of inappropriate behavior, we will investigate and discuss disciplinary actions of any and all persons involved. Disciplinary actions include but are not limited to: loss of facility admittance privileges, game suspension(s), season suspension and/or expulsion from the league.

No, our league is an independent organization with no official ties to the PASD. No funding or administrative support is received from PASD, and Phuture Phantoms pays the district for the use of their facilities and all equipment to facilitate our league activities. However, we do enjoy a good standing relationship with district administration and look to emulate the same values as the PASD Athletic programs.
